Why are prices different for MCG Corporate Boxes for AFL matches?
Put simply, it comes down to supply and demand. While most MCG Corporate Boxes include the same premium hospitality and match-day experience, pricing fluctuates based on the popularity and demand for each game.
Higher-demand matches (premium pricing):

Anzac Day – This match is in a league of its own and is priced accordingly.

King’s Birthday or Dreamtime at the ‘G – Major calendar events with strong cultural and club significance.

Collingwood vs Carlton – Always a blockbuster, often drawing 70,000+ fans regardless of ladder position.

Traditional rivalries – Any match between Collingwood, Carlton, Essendon, Richmond or Hawthorn.

Friday night games – These prime-time slots are always in strong demand.

Surprise performers – If a team is flying unexpectedly late in the season and facing a traditional powerhouse, demand, and therefore prices, typically increase.

Why is there a range of prices for a particular game?
We offer a range of corporate boxes in different locations around the ground — some more central or elevated than others — as well as differences in fit-out and layout. Naturally, these differences impact pricing.
